Color blocking with Oasap

Posted on July 21, 2012 by in Featured, Shoes

Let me introduce you all to Oasap a global online store dedicated to high-street fashion by offering various kinds of women’s apparel, bags, shoes, jewellery, accessories, and more.  Recently founded in late 2011, they constantly update products daily from the latest fashion trends.

They say that their mission is to make you close to the planet’s most cutting-edge fashion, no matter where you are or what class or age group you are in. Pursuing fashion is the right of every woman.  I like that!

And?  They have free shipping worldwide!

I have recently become a fashion blogger with Oasap and this was my first purchase.  I got the Block Colored Block Heel Court ShoesRetailing for $53, colors come in a choice of black, blue or rose.   They feature a block colored design, a low cut vamp, round toe, high platform sole, high block heel.   While I was dying to try the blue (with the yellow and white),

I just knew that I did not currently have anything to wear with it.  The black (with the pink and white) would go with so many more things for me.  I debated on what size to get.  Shoe shopping isn’t always easy for me.  Depending on the brand, I can be a size 8, 8 1/2 or a 9.  Generally I fit into an 8 1/2 but sometimes if the shoe stretches it becomes a little big.  Oasap does not unfortunately do half sizes… so I had to choose between an 8 or a 9.  Thinking about how my shoes usually stretch a little anyway, I took a chance and went with the size 8.

And here they are.

How cute are these?!  I do have to admit that I was first less than impressed with how they arrived in the mail.  Packaged inside a double set of shipping bags (not a box) was a crushed shoe box.  I thought for sure the shoes would have something wrong with them.  To my surprise, they were fine.

The sizing though?  I think I should have gone with the 9.  I can fit into the 8 as you can see, but it is a little cramped and while I wore them all afternoon and night last night, they really didn’t stretch out enough.

They do have a pretty good return policy.  Items must be returned in their original condition, unworn, unwashed, with all tags attached, within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange.  While I knew that I could have returned them for the next size up, I really wanted to put it to my stretch test.  Feet a bit scrunched aside, I do feel like they would really be pretty comfortable.  The bottoms feel nice and cushy.  I certainly can’t say that about every pair of heels I  own.

I got crazy compliments from people on my shoes and I will definitely be purchasing more from Oasap in the future.  In addition to their website, you can follow up with Oasap on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.

*Disclaimer:  I was not paid for this post.  I was however given the shoes for free, in exchange for my honest review.  Opinions are all my own.

  1. These are awesome! Did you try the little stretchy gadget to stretch them out? I’d hate for you to do that at the expense of your own feet 🙂

How cute are they? I always love to look at heels, but end up wearing flats most of the time. I’d be curious to see how comfortable these are after a wearing them for a day.

Just went to the site to order (love platforms & love color blocking!) but they do not have a size 9 listed for any color. 🙁 Only went up to a US size 8.

  8. This new online store sounds really decent. Their sizing range sounds limited however but the design and comfort of their shoes seem to make up for it. Colour-blocking in shoes sounds interesting too. I would then don a simple outfit with these colourful platforms to make a wonderful fashion statement.

Your articles are for when it abutysoell, positively, needs to be understood overnight.

    • It too would bother me enough to ripppppp it out… either in the piecing or long arm quilting phase. My eye would keep going back to that error, subtracting a little joy of accomplishment in the skills employed in the making of the quilt. Of course, I am getting more inventive at fixing “mistakes” as my quilts evolve and the errors are new to me! Great survey question!
